It has been a smooth-sailing and productive day at SOFTECAsia 2023 so far. Starting with Dr.Nishi Yasuharu’s lively keynote speech that included interesting parallels with Malaysia’s own Mechamato animated series, the morning proceeded with the second keynote by Encik Izham Johar from Tenaga Nasional Berhad who shared his findings based on the national utility’s own digital transformation journey. Next, Paul Gerrard from Gerrard Consulting shared his big-picture outlook on the future of Software Testing with the integration of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
After a scrumptious lunch spread from 1.00 PM to 2.30 PM, the second half of keynotes began with a presentation from IBM on the product features of its ELM (Engineering Lifecycle Management) solutions and continued with an incisive overview of the benefits and challenges of applying Large Language Models (LLM) platforms in software testing by Dr. Naveen Kumar from the University of Oklahoma.
The keynotes ended with a complete summary of the conference theme, SQA-Driven Transformation, by the Director of MSTB, Puan Azizah Hamzah. As the first day of the event ends and participants bring along new knowledge and valuable connections back with them, we hope the second day of workshops will add insightful knowledge and perspective for all participants that will be beneficial towards their SQA career.
