As we approach SOFTECAsia 2024, the region’s premier software testing and quality assurance conference, we are excited to welcome our esteemed delegates and participants. This year, the conference will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from 10–11 September 2024. However, due to a major event being organized at the venue, the entry procedures to the venue have been updated.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new security guidelines and access routes to ensure a smooth experience at the event.
Enhanced Security Measures
Given the revised security protocols, all entry points into the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will now feature security checkpoints equipped with metal detectors. Whether you’re accessing the venue via the Main Entrance, Park Entrance, or Basement Parking, these security checks are mandatory. We advise all attendees to arrive earlier than planned to account for the additional time needed for the screening process.
Key Access Points and Routes
1. Main Entrance
- All attendees entering through the Main Entrance will be required to go through a security checkpoint.
- Once inside, you’ll take the escalator up to Level 4, and on 10 September 2024, you can proceed to Exhibition Halls 8 where the Day 1 events will take place.
2. Park Entrance
- If you’re accessing the venue from the Park Entrance, a security checkpoint with metal detectors will also be in place. After passing the checkpoint, head towards the designated halls or meeting rooms for the day’s activities.
3. Basement Parking (next to Trader’s Hotel)
- If you are using the Basement Parking, take the lift to the Concourse Level. Follow the signs that will guide you to the Centre Core Area.
- On 10 September, use the escalators or lifts to reach Exhibition Hall 8, while on 11 September, head directly to Meeting Rooms 406 – 410 on Level 4.
4. East and West Entrances (via Trader’s Hotel and Mandarin Oriental)
- Both entrances have security checks in place. After entering, walk straight to the Centre Core Area and take the escalator to the appropriate level.
Plan Your Arrival in Advance
As we aim to ensure that all attendees have a safe and secure experience, we encourage you to plan your arrival early. Familiarize yourself with the venue’s entry points and routes to minimize any delays, and keep an eye on the signs to guide you to the correct location for each day of the conference.
